Located in the historic Eixample dret area, designed by the modernist architect "Idelfonso Cerda", that apartment is only 200 meters away from Gaudi's SAGRADA FAMILIA, the treasure of modernist architecture and the most visited sight in Barcelona. HOSPITAL SANT PAU, another landmark of Barcelona's modernist architecture, is only at one street from the Gaudi apartments.
L'eixample is a true Barcelona district through-and through: the characteristic grid layout of its streets, a large number of modernist buildings and a lively local life with shops, restaurants and sunny cafés, etc... All the hustle and bustle of daytime activity turns to pleasant calm when night falls and makes it the ideal place to rest after a tourist or business day. Near the Sagrada Familia you will find a bus stop to take the TOURISTIC BUS. At only a 1 minut walk you can find the “Avenue Gaudi” , a pleasant avenue very apreciated for the spanish people, with a lot of restaurants and terraces to take a drink and observe the lighting of the cathedral by night (you can’t miss it).
The area is well -comunicated and all other city's neuralgic centers are at only few minutes away by bus or subway. There are 2 metro lines (L-Lilac (II) et L-blue (V) from the apartment that lead you directy to the Plaza Catalunya (Old City, 15 min) or Pº de Gracia (10 min). If you want to go to the beach you have also a direct bus that last around 15- 20 min.
